First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes hubby with a baby carriage! So many beautiful weddings already this summer and so many preg bellies popping out everywhere! In honor of summertime babes, here are some gems from our 2 month photo shoot with Elsie and inspiration for birth announcements! Love the above pics of Wade changing E’s diaper. So many rolls, so much love! Thanks to the talented Camille Blinn for the photos – she is going to take new photos for us soon!!! We’ll try to post them quicker next time, seeing as Elsie is almost 8 mo. old!

Here are some of our happy birth announcements! Please contact EOH if you have a bundle-of-joy on the way! We would love to help announce your beautiful, new arrival! We can personalize any design on the website with different colors, fonts and motifs OR we can create a custom card perfect for your little one! A few mom’s that have been on top of it {this gal not included} have ordered their cards before the babe arrives and even addressed their envelopes! Afterwards, all we have to do is insert the photo and print! Just an idea; though, no judging here if you contact us when your little one is no longer a newborn… ours went out when she was 3 months old and the pic was from her 2 month photo shoot – whoops!

And finally, the below have to be my all time fav! I’ve always wanted little nude booty shots….and do you know what happens when you take a diap off a little baby – yup! She was relieved and I was wet, but we got some great photos out of it! After that, E was getting super sleepy which led to some cuddly moments. Love this girl and her daddy!

Mother’s Day is almost here! Why not celebrate your mama in style with goods from local Nashville makers?! Being a part of the small biz community here in Nash has given EOH the inside scoop on some of the best artisans and creators in our area. We’re always wowed and encouraged by the beautiful products our fellow makers are creating out of Nashville…And we’ve found some seriously pretty gifts we can’t wait to share with you!

As a first time mama + small biz owner here in Nashville, this post is all about two things Emily and the EOH team really believe in – celebrating motherhood & shopping local! Take note on some creative gift ideas…
Personalized Stationery from EOH Anything monogrammed or personalized shows that extra touch of thought + care. We love these floral stationery notecards designed by the EOH team perfect for your mom to mail to far-away friends, kids at college, or grandkids across the country. And if your mama is anything like ours, she appreciates the old-fashioned art of an handwritten note!
Floral Workshop from Consider the Wildflwrs Give something you’ve never given before this year! We love the idea of gifting an experience like an art class or a floral workshop. Your mom can sneak off for a little alone time while she learns a new skill or perfects an old one. Purchase a class just for her or add another so her friend can tag along! Consider the Wildflwrs curates earthy floral classes for locals to learn more about flower arranging…complete with goodie bags, snacks, and refreshments.
Jewelry from Miriam Designs This new jewelry company is founded on creating handmade + hope-filled goods. They teach women coming out of addiction how to make with their hands and create something beautiful. Pick up a delicate necklace or pretty pair of earrings all while supporting other mothers and women in our city.
Kitchen Papers from Hester & Cook These playful placemats and table runners have been sold in shops like Anthropologie and Paper Source across the country, but they are made right here in Nashville, Tennessee! We love the ease of Kitchen Papers because you can tear off sheets of paper goods as you need them, and then toss them in the trash when the party is over. Perfect for the hostess that likes simplicity and a quick clean-up!
Art Prints from Chelsea Petaja Chelsea is an artist in town (married to renown photographer Tec Petaja) who sells delightful watercolor art prints. This one features a sweet e. e. cummings quote about love. She has others with quotes from some of our favorite creatives like Van Gough, Anne Lamott, and Ralph Waldo Emerson.
Yarn from Camellia Fiber Co. Got a crafty mom thats always creating things with her hands? Camellia Fiber Co. produces gorgeous, thick handspun yarn out of her darling studio in Nashville. Plus, all her products are all-natural!
Celebrate your mom + the women who have helped you grow on May 11th! It’s so special to take the time to give them a little something in love and thanks for all they have poured into our lives. And if you are a mama, an aunt, or a special friend- Happy Mother’s Day from us! We are grateful for people like you!

It was a good day to wake up to an article with an interview from yours truly! StyleBlueprint is a southern online publication that connects women to their community. Currently they have editions in Nashville, Atlanta, Birmingham, Memphis and Louisville. It features women who do great things in and for their communities (Faces of the South) plus lifestyle, fashion, food, and local event articles… basically tidbits that we need or want to know about in order to stay current! PLUS they have great finds with local vendors! Thanks to the ladies of SB for the opportunity to be a part of the team for the day. And a special thanks to Claire Gibson for the interview. Her kind heart and amazing writing skills made my words sound SO much better!
Check out the article on The Art of Letter Writing! I hope it inspires you to not only buy some cute stationery (wink) but also to spend a moment writing to those around you. Whether it is a note to your mama (Mother’s Day is on the 11th!) or someone who is having a hard time or maybe just a friend who is extra thoughtful. It only takes a minute or two to encourage someone’s whole day, week or year!

Here are some my fav features from SB:
The new sweet spot, Sugar Dive, opened by our family friends, Tim and Carissa Pereira. You will NOT want to pass by this super fun ice cream parlor + candy shop this summer! Located in the heart of Green Hills; it has LOTS of heart behind the counter and will fill your belly with lots of sweets!
I made these cronuts for my papa’s birthday at Christmas and they are FAN-TAS-TIC – I mean, seriously melt in your mouth! Not exactly the healthiest choice, but totally worth the calories on special occasions. Thanks for this recipe, Liza….I think.
And, I love when they feature Wedding Wednesdays on beautiful southern weddings! This lovely soiree was done by the talented Libby Page.
Other great links from the gals at SB! May Happenings | Best Event Spaces – small gatherings or large parties! | The Skillery | Discount travel site for upscale hotels
More to come on the BEST. GIFT. EVER. (on our website at least!) Just in time for Mother’s Day!
