Take a look inside the lovely home of our husband/wife team, Emily & Wade! Get to know a little more about the world of EOH with this behind-the-scenes tour shot by the generous writer, Claire Gibson. Claire interviewed Emily for StyleBlueprint about the Art of Letter-writing plus she featured a tour of their home one her blog! Today we’re giving you a full look at this pretty home + studio shoot…

Emily’s big white desk is a lovely, clean backdrop for all of her design ideas to unfold. The gorgeous natural light that spills in each morning is all the inspiration a gal needs to grab a cup of coffee and get to work. Emily’s studio space is simple + light providing an uncluttered space for her to design, shoot, print, and tackle all the details that go into running EOH with her husband and partner, Wade, who has an office down the hall. She admits that it rarely looks this pristine but the all white room is refreshing and inspiring clean or cluttered!

The space doubles as a guest bedroom when dear friends or family come for a visit to Nash. Stripey sackcloth pillows add a rougher vintage edge to the frilly feminine bedding layered in white. If they’re lucky, guests get a sneak peek at whatever designs may be brewing in the EOH studio, too!

Emily’s desk is topped with reminders of why she does what she does as a busy working mama + wife + small biz owner + friend. She keeps decor to a minimum in order to spread out designs and paper samples as she creates throughout the workday. Fresh blooms & framed portraits are all the extra touches her space needs to feel personal yet functional.

This nook is one of the coziest spots in the Holmes house! Chocolate brown leather chairs frame a fun red table + union jack flag rug in muted gray tones. The impressive book collection adds color + meaning to the room as Wade is an avid reader & constant learner. It is no surprise that this space ends up being one of the natural gathering areas in the home. Perfect for catching up with a friend over tea or just playing with toddler Elsie on the floor!

The master bedroom is a cozy + tranquil get away from their work world just down the hall. The gorgeous beamed wood ceilings take center stage and support a chandelier updated with a coat of white paint & fun round bulbs. The rest of the space is kept modern with varying textures in the rustic wood chest that her father refurnished, black metal sconces, and a geometric grey & white cowhide rug. This is a great space to unwind at the end of a long day juggling family, friends, and a small biz.

And finally, we have little Elsie’s room! This tot is full of personality + spunk and she has a room to prove it. Rather than going with overly stuffy or feminine decor, Emily kept things interesting with a richer color palette and playful details. There is lots of bold pattern mixing from the stylized chevron carpet to the navy dotted sheets to the aztec wool blanket resting on her rocker. Art hanging above the crib was created by Emily in college, old shelving from Elsie’s grandfather’s office and keepsakes from the house Emily grew up in fill the room. Thoughtful + sentimental touches are sprinkled throughout like a framed set of vintage playing cards and an antique gold tray holding a photo of Elsie’s grandparents.

Thanks for sharing your home with us, Emily & Wade! It’s so fun to get a feel for where the EOH magic happens. Click on over to the StyleBlueprint feature for a few more photos + words from Emily on the Art of Letter-writing.

The Southern gal behind the Bride Room, Charlotte Poling, wanted to throw a party, so she gathered lots of her favorite folks…And Emily O. Holmes Paper got to play along! It was a dreamy night from the chic runway show right down to the fun bubbly bar…all with the Cordelle as a gorgeous backdrop!

We loved working with Charlotte (and her insanely beautiful wedding gowns!) She is fun, so sweet, and down to earth. We were inspired by the way she strives to put family first and how she curates her shop with such great taste!

One of the owners of The Cordelle , Leigh Watson, helped host the party. She has a striking look and personality! She and her twin, Chandra Watson, along with Nealy Glenn own the space. The Cordelle is simply AMAZING – charming, lovely, open and modern with a southern flair. If you need a venue space, definitely check it out! But reserve quickly because it is booking up fast for 2015! The bridal runway show was open to anyone – so many fun people attended…brides, event planners, stylists, and photographers.

We’re excited anytime we get to work with the ladies at Big Events and this time was no exception. Martha Greenwood and her team designed a modern yet warm aesthetic and brought lots of their one-of-a-kind rental pieces to the space. You can now find amazing rentals on their website! Big Events is a wedding and event company – I highly recommend their services. They are the kind of folks that are (very!) on top of it but at the same time warm and so much fun, like you want to go sit in their kitchen and chat for hours. Great style, great energy, great team.

There were delectable treats to snack on while guests oohed and aahed over the bridal runway show. My favorite was the bubbly bar featuring The Bang Candy Company syrups – Hibiscus Orange Blossom Ginger & Peach Basil Nectar & Lavender Mint (all delicious!) Passed apps were created by Chef’s Market and tasty sweets by Frosted Affair.

Emily O. Holmes Custom Paper Lovelies did the programs, bar signs, hashtag cards, and “hello love” stationery gift in the goodie bag. We went classic with all black & white, but brought in the trendy hand-lettering look for an element of fun.
There was amazing lighting by Bright Events Productions and beautiful make-up by Katie Russo. You can find all the other vendors below! They’re great to keep in mind if you’re planning to get hitched or throw a party anytime soon…

This night was a smash hit! We want to give a big thank you to The Bride Room, Big Events and The Cordelle…and for letting EOH be a part! (You can find more photos on the #funandfashion hashtag.)
