Whimsical Farm Wedding | Purple Wedding Invitations

March 14th, 2014

Shaun and Zack spent a bright, sunny day celebrating their marriage at Wolf Den Farm in Nashville, Tennnessee. Kristyn Hogan shot these beautiful sunlit photos and shared them with us today! Join us as we get to look through their big day styled with class, sweet personal touches + whimsy! These spring colors are just what we all need after a dreary, extra cold winter!

Get a peek at the whimsical purple wedding invitations we designed. Shaun really wowed with the extra details she chose – gray envelopes with green damask liners, smaller purple envelopes, vintage torn edges on the invitation, and a love quote tied onto their gorgeous southern wedding invite! Let EOH help you add this personalized touch to your own day…Get started here!

The EOH team adores designing wedding invitation suites that are specific for each couple’s style + personality. It is especially fun when they include lots of custom touches like tie-on quote cards for your invitations, playful patterned envelope liners, stripey RSVP cards, and matching programs in fun shapes! EOH loved designing with Shaun to create their purple-infused color scheme. We were able to add special details that made their invitation suite personal and unique.

They both love books, so we wanted to incorporate the theme of story into their wedding suite. We were first able to do this by creating and writing the story of how they met and fell in love! We love that they wanted to include their story in their wedding invitation; it invited the guests to be apart of their journey, plus it was a forever treasure! We even used a quote from a favorite book. The paper suite included lots of pieces (tag, story card, RSVP card + twine!) to keep you unwrapping the invite to see what surprises would come next…just like a great book! Shaun was so kind to work with and we loved her style, colors, and easy-going personality! Thanks Shaun for letting us be apart!

Southern Etiquette: Invitation Mailing Timeline

March 3rd, 2014

It can be tough to know exactly the best time to send out all the invitations and RSVPs that flow out of your mailbox during wedding season. We’ve made it easy to remember with this simple timeline below. Catch EOH‘s southern wedding etiquette guide…

Save-the-dates are an opportunity to really show off your personality on paper! Since these go out 6-8 months prior to the wedding, they can be more informal and fun…something to get guests excited about your big day!

When sending off your gorgeous wedding invitation suite, 6-8 weeks is usually plenty of time. This way far away friends and family can clear their schedules and plan to travel so they don’t miss out on any of the festivities!

Rehearsal dinner invitations need about 3-6 weeks in advance. This is another place the EOH team loves to bring something a little different to your paper design. Branch out from your wedding color scheme or add some more playful design.

We suggest that you ask for guests to RSVP 2-3 weeks prior to your wedding date. This is helpful for everyone from the caterer to the florist. Give vendors a final number and lock in your seating chart once you have the final count!

Whether you’re hosting a bridesmaids luncheon or a best friend’s birthday party, the same rule applies. It’s standard to mail pretty party invitations 4-6 weeks before the event. This gives everyone time to plan for stress-free celebrating!
