Tell us “your story” in a few sentences. Bryan and I both grew up in Nashville, but it wasn’t until Bryan came home for a visit from his job in Shanghai, China that our paths crossed and that was it…We just clicked from the moment we met, and nothing else mattered. I never believed it, but when you meet the right person you really do “know.” After 9 months of around the world dating, I graduated from Vanderbilt nursing school and traveled to be with him in China. We got engaged on a trip home in October at Blackberry Farm.
Pick three words you would use to describe your wedding. Magical, enchanting, southern charm
We love your style! Tell us a little bit about your aesthetic. I had always pictured an outdoor reception under a flowing white tent with flowers galore! June is such a beautiful month in Nashville, so we choose to have the reception at my husband’s childhood home with an expansive back yard. I thought it would be extra enchanting to see the big tent glowing in the distance while having cocktails, giving guests a chance to wonder about the fabulous décor inside. I wanted the tent to have that “wow factor” and it definitely did! Entering was truly magical…There were custom crystal chandeliers, Italian linen sofas, and lush floral arrangements in white, cream, and pink. The flowers were definitely my favorite…They truly made the wedding magical.
What was your very favorite detail from the day? I loved the mirrored bars on the lawn that served mint juleps and our signature bourbon slushes. This detail felt so southern…A good mint julep is my favorite cocktail!
One thing you wish you would’ve know before you started wedding planning…Don’t let anything stress you out. It will all turn out perfectly…and if it doesn’t, you probably won’t even notice! If you let yourself get stressed, you are taking away from the true meaning of the wedding. You are about to marry the love of your life! The day after your wedding, the flowers are gone, the tent is down and the dress is trashed, but you get the best gift of all…your new husband!

Shaun and Zack spent a bright, sunny day celebrating their marriage at Wolf Den Farm in Nashville, Tennnessee. Kristyn Hogan shot these beautiful sunlit photos and shared them with us today! The EOH team adores designing wedding invitation suites that are specific for each couple’s style + personality. It is especially fun when they include lots of custom touches like tie-on quote cards for your invitations, playful patterned envelope liners, stripey RSVP cards, and matching programs in fun shapes! EOH loved designing with Shaun to create their purple-infused color scheme. We were able to add special details that made their invitation suite personal and unique.
They both love books, so we wanted to incorporate the theme of story into their wedding suite. We were first able to do this by creating and writing the story of how they met and fell in love! We love that they wanted to include their story in their wedding invitation; it invited the guests to be apart of their journey, plus it was a forever treasure! We even used a quote from a favorite book. The paper suite included lots of pieces (tag, story card, RSVP card + twine!) to keep you unwrapping the invite to see what surprises would come next…just like a great book! Shaun was so kind to work with and we loved her style, colors, and easy-going personality! Thanks Shaun for letting us be apart!
