Picnic-Inspired Engagement | Save-the-Dates

November 15th, 2013

We are giddy to show you this precious picnic-inspired engagement shoot today! Handcrafted quilts, vintage hankies, and a peach sundress were all part of the charm. The old-fashioned photo shoot later led to Wes and Margaret’s save-the-date card design that was {oh so} darling.

They mailed this pretty paper out as a postcard. Their Nashville wedding save-the-date was designed to reflect their vintage style in peach and soft mint-y green. Love this design as much we do? Order a save-the-date just like Wes and Margaret’s right here!

Handwritten Letter Ideas + A Stationary Sale

November 1st, 2013

Few things have more old-fashioned charm than a handwritten letter…Popping open your mailbox to find a note from a far-away-friend brings instant sweetness to an ordinary day. So that’s why over at EOH we want to revive the art of the handwritten letter! Today we’re showing you ways to send letters that have something a little fun to them. First, pick out your {very favorite} EOH stationery and customize it with your name + colors. Then chose spruce it up with one of these {extra special} details…

handwritten letter ideas

This stripey monogram stationery would be super cute mailed in an envelope sealed with patterned washi tape. (Idea from this fun blog.)

The sophisticated pattern of this yellow and teal card would be so fun tucked inside an envelope stuffed with big polka dots of confetti.

Whimsical calligraphy is everywhere these days, but calligraphy isn’t just for wedding invitations…Try your hand at some playful script to make a single letter look filled with care. We think it would pair perfectly with this darling framed border stationery, too!

If you really want to go the extra mile, send your note as a message in a bottle! This idea is great for both boys and girls. We’ve wrapped up one of our favorite guy stationeries to send off. (Oh Hello Friend shows you how right here.)

We know all these beautiful ideas have you itching to sit down and write away! And you’re just in time- EOH has decided to have a November stationary sale!

To help you recapture the thoughtful art of a handwritten letter, Emily has decided host a sale during November. All notes will be $1.00 each on order of 50 or more. {Just in time for Christmas gifts & stocking stuffers too!} To snag the sale price, email Emily or Beth to place your order….You can see all the options online and then order via email! (The website shows you the options, but the regular prices will be posted and not the sale prices.) You can reach Beth at beth@emilyoholmes.com!

So go ahead- write a letter to a long-lost friend or your adorable grandmother far away or a just a neighbor having a hard day. Brighten someone’s day (in style!) with a sweet + pretty sentiment…

Want to chose your favorite stationery in person? You can drop by a holiday art party if you’re in Nashville next week- get the details here!
