A Night of Fun + Fashion with the Bride Room

September 29th, 2014

The Southern gal behind the Bride Room, Charlotte Poling, wanted to throw a party, so she gathered lots of her favorite folks…And Emily O. Holmes Paper got to play along! It was a dreamy night from the chic runway show right down to the fun bubbly bar…all with the Cordelle as a gorgeous backdrop!

We loved working with Charlotte (and her insanely beautiful wedding gowns!) She is fun, so sweet, and down to earth. We were inspired by the way she strives to put family first and how she curates her shop with such great taste!

One of the owners of  The Cordelle , Leigh Watson, helped host the party. She has a striking look and personality!  She and her twin, Chandra Watson, along with Nealy Glenn own the space. The Cordelle is simply AMAZING – charming, lovely, open and modern with a southern flair. If you need a venue space, definitely check it out! But reserve quickly because it is booking up fast for 2015! The bridal runway show was open to anyone – so many fun people attended…brides, event planners, stylists, and photographers.

We’re excited anytime we get to work with the ladies at Big Events and this time was no exception. Martha Greenwood and her team designed a modern yet warm aesthetic and brought lots of their one-of-a-kind rental pieces to the space. You can now find amazing rentals on their website! Big Events is a wedding and event company – I highly recommend their services. They are the kind of folks that are (very!) on top of it but at the same time warm and so much fun, like you want to go sit in their kitchen and chat for hours. Great style, great energy, great team.

There were delectable treats to snack on while guests oohed and aahed over the bridal runway show. My favorite was the bubbly bar featuring The Bang Candy Company syrups – Hibiscus Orange Blossom Ginger & Peach Basil Nectar & Lavender Mint (all delicious!) Passed apps were created by Chef’s Market and tasty sweets by Frosted Affair.

Emily O. Holmes Custom Paper Lovelies did the programs, bar signs, hashtag cards, and “hello love” stationery gift in the goodie bag. We went classic with all black & white, but brought in the trendy hand-lettering look for an element of fun.

There was amazing lighting by Bright Events Productions and beautiful make-up by Katie Russo. You can find all the other vendors below! They’re great to keep in mind if you’re planning to get hitched or throw a party anytime soon…

This night was a smash hit! We want to give a big thank you to The Bride Room, Big Events and The Cordelle…and for letting EOH be a part! (You can find more photos on the #funandfashion hashtag.)

Kate Spade Collaboration

September 15th, 2014

We teamed up with the gals at Kate Spade Nashville to host a blogger preview party for the release of their fall 2014 line. This was one of our favorite design projects to date! Inspired by the bright colors & sophisticated aestethic of the brand, EOH created a modern + playful paper collection. Check out the details from this super fun night below…

The decor included pops of cobalt blue & kelly green, hints of hot pink, and lots of sparkly gold accents. We took a cue from Kate Spade’s new line inspired by the unexpectedly glam city of Tokyo. To infuse Asian flair, EOH commissioned her friend Beth Lehman of Typographie Press to create hundreds of origami birds to scatter about the space. Beth also letterpressed everything from the program to the custom stationery & the hashtag card. Our friends at Commerce Street Events added thoughtful touches like jumbo gold letter balloons and custom confetti. Our favorite treat of the night was champagne in a can! Big thanks to CSE for letting us partner with them & for pulling off a fantastic event!

These swag bags were the most fun to curate! They included things like handcrafted origami birds, adorable notepads from Brittany Fuson, and exclusive EOH stationery sets (complete with cobalt envelopes!) How fun to design Kate Spade stationery?! It was a treat to watch bloggers peek through each goody inside.

As you might imagine, the night was full of selfies & shopping (…and admiring the perfectly mod designs that debuted in the new line!) Swing by the Kate Spade store here in Nash to shop the collection.

What a night! Many thanks to all our friends involved, especially the team at Kate Spade + Cari Johns Isham &  Erin Kunce at Commerce Street Events + Zipporah Photography (who provided all these gorgeous photos!)…Pop, fizz, clink, & cheers to a great event!

P.S. Check out the #popclinknash hashtag for more snaps from the party!

A New Collab! | Inspired by the Simple Life

March 30th, 2014

We are very excited to announce a new collaboration coming early summer! As we move into the slower, warmer days of summer, we have been inspired by all things simple. We can’t wait to unveil our new letterpress line in collaboration with Typographie Press. It is going to be a celebration of all things southern, simple, and warm.

Our new line features letterpress notes, tags, and coasters designed for everyday use. Take a look at a small taste of what’s to come…We have some hand-pressed goodness up our sleeves we can’t wait to show you.

More About Beth of Typographie Press: We are thrilled to bring the old-fashioned art of letterpress to our new summer project with Typographie Press. Not only is Beth a talented craftsman, she is also a very, very dear friend that has been a part of the EOH team for years now. She has her own biz as a “designer’s press” which basically means she doesn’t design herself, but is passionate about helping anyone bring their artwork to life with her letterpress.

Scroll through a sneak peek at our new line paired with photos from some of our favorite local artisans we think are celebrating the simple life best
