We’re ready for you, 2016!

January 13th, 2016

Anddddd we’re back and ready for 2016!

We used the week after Christmas to take a pause from paper after all the holiday orders and UPS lines. We had a full schedule of Christmas and holiday cards, along with some other things. It was a whirlwind, and we could not have done it without YOU! So thank you, thank you, thank you for your orders, your patience, and your encouraging words! So, we’re ready to go into 2016 with our fight faces on– and by fight face, we mean our Macbooks, gluesticks, and our print shop on speed dial. Over the weekend, we went to a wedding of a client, whom we worked very closely throughout the planning process. It was a night of wintry elegance peppered with candles, a string trio, bridesmaids in periwinkle, and a long-sleeved, lace wedding dress. Although not as elegant, the biscuits that the caterers provided at the reception were also worth noting. Much more to come on Catherine’s wedding!

It’s a new year which means that the new wedding season has begun. We believe the invitations you send out help to set the tone for your wedding. We love working with brides to help them create the tone and beauty that they envision for their big day. We’re already working on some lovely bridal suites for brides tying the knot in the late spring/ early summer. Enjoy some of our suites and get inspired for the new year! And if you’re planning a wedding in 2016, we’d love to be a part of it!

Holiday Pop-Up Shop at White’s Mercantile

December 3rd, 2015

WHITE'S-1

Nashville– you and I both know that Nashville has been a not-so-Winter-Wonderland for this Christmas season. If it weren’t for the tree lots, Christmas lights, or Green Hills traffic, you might think that it was still October.

But, Snowbird or no Snowbird, Christmas is still upon us, and we at EOH have got some exciting news. We have been asked to host a pop-up show at the lovely White’s Mercantile! White’s Mercantile is a must-see shop located in the 12 South neighborhood (The New York Times even agrees with us!). It’s full of good things for him, her, or you! We are honored and excited to be featured in this Nashville hub.

We’ll be showing all sorts of paper lovelies that would be perfect for gifts, stocking stuffers, party favors, hostess gifts, or something for yourself!

And we won’t be alone! We’ll be joined by the wonderfully-creative MaryDeaton Heldman, who will have you fawning over her prints, photos, and paper goods. MaryDeaton has been working with us for awhile, and we don’t know where we’d be without her.  Get a preview of her work here or head to our Meet & Greet blog post to read more about her!

Being Thankful

November 26th, 2015

Social media tends to create the illusion that we really have it all together. It seems like we are always prepared for a photoshoot with our paper strategically placed on a white, clean blank space and beautiful flowers in the background for just a bit of color and texture. But this is so unlike our lives. Our lives are messy. They are more like our holiday kitchens—splattered and strayed with different dishes and many plates to juggle. But our lives are also real and so beautiful in their own way. We are so thankful that we don’t have to have it all together. We can admit that things don’t always turn out Instagram picture perfect. Instead, we can hand all of our mess over to the one who is the Author and Perfector of our faith.

As you mix and mingle with family and friends this holiday season, we hope your conversations be merry, vulnerable, and life-giving and all of the love you experience only reflects the love of our Heavenly Father.

As a sweet treat to your Thanksgiving Day, we have included a recipe for our yummy Apple Spice Cake, a timeless holiday recipe.

3. Place one layer of cooled cake on a cake plate. Spread half of the frosting over the top of the cake.

4. Place the other cake layer on top of the frosted cake layer. Spread the remainder of the frosting on top of the cake.

5. If desired, garnish cake with chopped walnuts.
